There was a story related to me by a sister, who claimed that someone had purchased a box of smurfs at a garage sale, and put them on the back seat to drive home. On the way home, they were said to "start moving and climbing out of the box". So she stopped the car and left them by the side of the road. Obviously demonized, right? : )

Were there any articles about Smurfs? I'm sorry, it's probably been posted before, but I was just wondering if any literature actually mentioned the demonized characters.
Nothing on the CD-ROM.
I never heard the demonized smurf story until I read it here. Hilarious.
No problems with smurfs, but my mom didn't like those little fluffy troll figures and I wasn't allowed to watch Scooby Doo (I eventually did - secretly).

Rebellion at it's finest!
I was thinking, I have a little 8 year nephew...and he LOVES his Scooby Doo. He loves Stars Wars and baseball, but Scooby Doo is who he curls up with on the couch.
I mean...what's the harm really?
