    Not even mentioning WW II,

    Marechal FOCH, who was the commander in chief of the allied armies when they gave the decisive thrust to victory in 1918 reckoned "hadn't the Americans come to help, we could never have made it". Thanks to the American, Canadian, Australian, New Zelander, African and Indian boys who had nothing to do with that war and still came to die for the allied nations in European trenches.

    It's interesting how older veterans are very concerned that WW I and WW II will be forgotten.

    I think that kids have a somewhat perverted view of what war was really about back then. It was a very necessary thing. Now I don't want this to deteriorate into weather wars recently are necessary or not, but they percieve wars nowadays as unecessary. They didn't know what it was like back then, when it was "do or die" i.e., Hitler. They were necessary wars, and terrible.
