I work at the Library. On Saturday, I met a man who was checking out 3 or 4 old books on WWII. He was so obviously a WWII Veteran. They have an air about them, no denying. Anyway, I mentioned his books and he told me he was a survivor of D-Day, and he had just been to a reunion. Survivors of Omaha Beach. We chatted a bit, and then as he was leaving he said "you've got a good memory". I've thought about what he could have meant, and I figure it must be because I pegged him for a Vet, I talked to him about it, and I thanked him.
Still crying here. -
