Simple to follow??....We don't accept blood...but we do accept fractions......you don't need to ask you butcher if meat is bled....but you must die if you need a transfusion.......does that make sense???
Shouldn't A Religion Having The "Truth" Be Pretty Simple To Follow?

Whatever the truth was in the first century, one could hear it, understand it, and be qualified to be baptized on the same day.
WT truth requires years of study and then a quiz before being baptized. It almost certainly is not the same truth as what was taught in th first century. -

If religion is the truth, you should be able to explain it to a 5 year old and him/her not have any logical problems with it. Try that with:
-Why go to 2 hour meetings that are repeditive and impossible to understand.
Why Jehovah hates Santa Claus
Why its is pagan to celebrate birthdays.
Why Jehovah doesn't want us to play little league or be friends with the next door neighbors.
Why it is wrong to go to college.
(I haven't even started on F&D slave, 144,000, time of the end, rasom, etc, etc, etc.)

Yeah, we're not talking primarily of just doctrines. Simple things that JWs teach make no common sense. You cannot stand for the National Anthem. You can stand (out of respect for the flag salute) or other songs.
