Trying to remain secret about my true feelings is getting harder and harder. I think soon i'll just go ahead and do it. Thanks again you have been more valuable than you could ever know.

Posting this thread is a start.
I know many here have become 'phone pals'. I spend my workday at a desk on the phone so not really my thing after work.
I've really enjoyed meeting JWD-ers and a few other misc ex-jw's in person. You might also enjoy that.
If interested in meeting in person, I'd suggest starting a new thread under the topic of 'Apostafests' as some people go straight there rather than 'Active Topics'. An apostafest can be as simple as coffee at a local donut hut.
Also, for online chat, Simon has reactivated the chat feature of JWD. While it's usually empty, you might be able to generate some interest but starting a thread and then sit there waiting for people to join you. I've popped in a few times but not much time to do so while at work.
Meet-Up.com may have something in your area, too.
Good Luck with your search.
btw - looks like you are (relatively) new here. Welcome~!!

PS: I haven't used my full closing for a while since there are no more real newbies. Thanks to the people I met last month for remembering and appreciating the close. It was important to me, too, and I think sooo appropos for this site!)

I'm always open for cool new friends. I love Arkansas. I'm a southerner and have visited Hot Springs twice as well as Little Rock.

A little too far for you to pop round for a coffee, but always open to email and the like.

I'm an Arkansawyer (I refuse to say "Arkansan." ;-) as well.

Looks like a good start.
Aude is right - we have very few newbies now that registrations have stopped. It is really good to see that some who have been here quietly are saying hello. I am a long way from Arkansas - but I have made friends all over the country via phone and email. Drop a PM to a few of us and maybe some real friendships can begin from that.
Peace
Jeff

Hello!! I love your avatar.
I'd probably keep Doe at a distance

Beks just says such things because she's smitten with my incredibly pheromonic charm.
