It doesn't always follow, but that's a common pattern. I also like the point someone made that when you are forced to slow down and get off the "theocratic treadmill" you start to see more clearly.
BONAFIDE- Good points you make. People do change. You are a great example of that ! Isn't it weird that people that used to commend you, now condemn you ? I have found that to be true also. That is great you are moving beyond the bitterness though and being kind to everyone. It will help you heal moving on from the cult. I agree as time goes by more and more people are seeing the fallacy of the end being near.
