But do you think there are forces at work to actually ORCHESTRATE events to happen in order for it to appear to coincide with the predictions of Revelation?
Well, Well, Well Let's all welcome the Great Tribulation!!!!!!!!!

I thought this was funny, to go with the subject of the thread...
9/21/08, the headline of the New York Post consisted of only two words:
"Almost Armageddon."
-------------------
Another funny: On 10/8/08 the big national debt clock in New York City ran out of digits and will have to be redesigned. Well it's a no wonder.
-------------------
Joe Biden: "Paying higher taxes is a patriotic act."
Who in their right mind would agree with that?
-------------------
Fisher-Price's Cuddle'n Coo doll has a message for little children of America. When they pull the string on the cute little talking doll, it says, "ISLAM IS THE LIGHT!" - London Daily Telegraph, Oct. 14, 2008, by Matthew Moore
That is totally unrelated to finances and Armageddon, but interesting nonetheless.

SEVEN years later to the day [from 9/11/01] - The top five Investment Banks on Wall Street went belly up.
[...]
That reminded me that on 9/29/08 -- 18 (=666) days from 9/11/08 --the Dow plunged 777 points for their worst point drop on record. So there's another SEVEN sequence for you.
Here's one more: The very next day, 9/30/08, began the Jewish year 5769. Add that to the Christian year 2008 and you get 7777.

Mary had said...
[...]
All the signs were there, but Armageddon never showed up. What makes you think it's going to show up this time?
[...]
One major thing:
Israel became an independent nation again in 1948, the first time in 2500 years. God has given the world a sign that is impossible to ignore via Israel becoming a nation again. Even so, most of the world chooses to ignore it.
Israel is God's prophetic time clock. All time-line prophecy in scripture applies to Israel.
End Time prophetic events could not even begin to take place until Israel was again a nation.
Jesus associated the fig tree with Israel when he cursed the fig tree because it had no fruit, but he was referring to Israel not having any fruit of faith. Matt. 21. (Jeremiah 24 also refers to Israel as figs, both good and rotten ones).
Then later when asked about the end of the age by his disciplies, Jesus said when you see the fig tree begin to grow leaves, know that summer is near and He is near at the door, and that the generation who saw this blooming would not pass away until all these things occur. Matt. 24.
Israel blossomed in 1948. So start counting your generation from that point. Israel turned 60 in 2008.

Absolutely but in reverse, so to speak.
In other words, God isn't the one who sets up the Tribulation. He merely looked ahead to see where godless MEN WOULD TAKE THE WORLD THEMSELVES and the disastrous outcome it would bring. So in Revelation He describes what He looked ahead and saw the megalomaniacs themselves setting up (you're right about that) in order to obtain their lust for world domination, economically, politically, and "spiritually."
And they will have what they lust for -- God will allow it for 3-1/2 years -- and it will end up a disaster at mid-Trib. Everybody blames God. They need to be looking in their own backyards of elitist humanity. God will be doing mankind a favor by stepping in and giving these varments a piece of their own medicine. If He didn't come back and stop these world destroyers, no flesh would be saved at all.

homoravah I believe your comment is very unprofessional. I never targeted anyone on this site. I learned a lot from this site and never had turned to cursing or disrespecting anyone. Just because some of these people are former JW's doesn't not mean they don't still worship God and have morals. You need to get your language in check. Abbagail you are correct in saying that God is not responsible for the tribulation but mankind is responsible. I really appreciate everyone's comment except those who are bad mouthed and disrespectful.

Now that you have read through most of the retorts or replies to your thread topic , you can see that it wasn't very well thought out on your part
to start the thread in the first place. Just a little insight for you to grab on to, the WTS. use of the GT. is one of their marketing tools that was conjured
up for their Publishing House it helps to stimulate circulation of their literature, essentially its called fear mongering and its socially devious with its
underlining intension.
Hows that for some professional analytical thought ?........and thats the truth whether you agree to it or no

Homer...just a little insight for you....WTS has not cornered the market on the Great Tribulation. ALL RELIGIONS preach this subject.
I think you have a nasty attitude when people bring it up because it scares the pee outta you. You see things leading up to it and you cannot deal with it. The very thought of GT puts you in a state of being irrational. It's coming, Homer. Get used to it.
