two favorite pies are pecan or sweet potato pecan pie

Years back I had a roommate. If I bought a pecan pie or he did, it was understood that the roommate could eat half the pie without complaint or repercussion's. Later we changed it to a 1/3 when roommate #2 moved in.

Other goodies included a shopping bag of tamales made fresh at Mom's. We chased those down with some corona's.

Sunday pollo loco mornings were good as well

Something I haven't had since I lived in Texas: Millionaire Pie. They used to serve it at Furr's Cafeteria. I have the recipe. I really should make it someday.

Then there was the bread pudding, with no raisins, with real rum sauce that I had in Orange Beach, AL. It was to die for.
