Yes, birthday cake is always good. Orangefatcat said it and we know she couldn't be wrong. Did anyone say anything about Carrot cake? German Chocolate cake, and then don't forget pie or cheesecake.

Now you are talking goody!! Last night I called my 17 yr old daughter over to the computer, and asked her what her least favorite "goody" was. Without hesitation, she said Necco's. Then I showed her your answer. LOL Valentines day a couple of years ago, I told the new boyfriend of my daughter, to buy her the Necco hearts, that she loved them. He bought her several. (I didn't like him) He didn't last too long after that. LOL

At work, just last week, a girl had some. Some at the table had never had them. It was half and half. We thought they had some kind of spice in them. Everyone who liked them, liked spice cake, and spice gum drops, all of which I don't like. Maybe that is it. They are definitely not related to sweetarts!!

I love white chocolate. Ice cream and chocolate is always better with nuts. A store near Dallas, has praline cheesecake, white chocolate fudge. OMG!!!!!!!

Every year the day after Valentine's, I go and get all the Necco hearts I can on clearance. Then I proceed to overdose on them. I'm addicted. I can admit it. I even contacted the Necco company to see if I could get them any other time of the year(I couldn't...sigh).

I will be stopping today to get some Necco wafers.

I love lots of goodies, but today I made a huge death by chocolate dessert ( layers of cake soaked in amaretto, pudding, cool whip, and heath bar all crushed up.) I also made apple pie. Some of our many favorites.

See's candies - the chocolate with the brown sugar center, the dark chocolate marzipan, dark chocolate cherries, their chewy caramel, oh they make a lot of good stuff. With a cup of good coffee.

And while we're on the subject of See's – they make a wonderful molassess caramel which they cover in chocolate. Irresistible. And there's a raspberry caramel, too, likewise chocolate-coated.

When I was young, they made something called an "Arab," a little knot of date/nut/chocolate goodness.

If you can't get that, there's always Chunky – raisins, pecans, cashews and maybe coconut in a chunk of sturdy dark chocolate.

I love them. Loved them better when they cost a nickel. I love the chocolate ones. You can buy just the chocolate ones, but I enjoy the variety, too. The green ones remind me of the taste of lemon lime shaving cream.
