She did ask what congregation he was from.
If he gave her the congregation info, don't be surprised if he is contacted by the BOE of his congregation counseling him for making the request.

I wrote them twice. Once to tell them I was leaving the JW religion. I wanted to be no part of them anymore, and told them why, in a long letter!
Well a few years ago some were discussing if they should write a D.A. letter or not and it got me to thinking.I wrote some incriminating things about other members of the KH in that letter and I would love to have a copy of it.Very much so!!!
I did receive a reply, it stated that they would NOT release a copy of my letter to me as it was now THEIR property and private.
Since then I encouraged everyone that does write to make a copy of their letters.Well..at least they answered me...
Funny thing..my JW MIL asked one of the elders at her KH if it was OK for her to associate with me and explained my situation of being a married to her son etc.
The elder apparently sent away for a copy of my letter..yep..he said apparently I wasn't disfellowshipped and she could associate with me , eat meals with me etc.I can't help but wonder why I wasn't disfellowshipped? Wouldn't they do that if they received a letter of disassociation from you?
Anyway, it seems they were just so concerned for me..she was wondering why they were so interested in how I was...so was I.Maybe it was something I said in the letter...
