To think that they feel they give women a good shake - what a bunch of white washed tombs!
Just think of what would happen to the precious BORG if the women stopped going out in service- concidering in my area it was almost an assignment to have a Brother there to do the leadout each morning for service - often they would set up the car groups and give prayer then leave for work or some other thing....Funny there is always more women in most congregations too - yet they talk so down about them... Wonder if Paul had a bad love experience that left him so bitter towards our fairer sex????

The whole article is insulting, but the brain size thing just takes the cake. Anyone who deals with parrots or crows knows that brain size doesn't correspond directly with intelligence; "bird brain" is an unfair insult to birds. And lots of animals with huge brains aren't nearly as intelligent as humans.

I think that stuff about a woman's sensitivity and gentleness making it impossible for her to be a leader and meet stern challenges is ridiculous (along with the rest of the article).

I am a full time mom to four children. I have stern challenges daily and I have to be a leader. That is part of what mothering is about. These men are such idiots. I know that there is no way they could handle my kids. My son's questions about science would stump them. My 4yo daughter would freak them out with her emotionalness and not speaking. My 3yo would stump them with her immense stubborness. And my 1yo daughter would horrify them with her need to be cuddled all day.

I am so thankful that I am free of them. I go to a church with a woman pastor. She is a great pastor, a great mom to her two daughters, and the men all respect her and her authority.

Take Carol Vorderman for example.

She is an average sized woman. However her intelligence is VERY high above average. There are many more women just like her. Just one of them has more brains than the entire writing dept at Brooklyn, including those who have died, put together.

As for stern, what about school teachers? Is it just me or are all the female teachers dragons? They were usually harder than the male teachers!

Yeah, they will love you forever. Of course the non-thinking ones will say something like - well this is old Watchtower literature. Yet, as I have said, I have yet to see one article that apologizes for this disgusting 1967 article and unless I am mistaken it is still current "light".

The whole thing is just wild .....

I have to sorley disagree how the Wt has abuse thsi headship concept.

Being a Messianic Jew, and Born-Again Christian, I understood what Paul was talking about. I am also married.

It talking about leadership of the family. Last and fianl decision is the husbands. A good husband already has the repect of his wife and she will respect his decsions. A good husband will have earned his wife and children's respect.

A good husband will take in consideration of his wife feelings, and views.

But why don't the Organization also print the Scriptures to also show the responsibility and punishment for abuse of such headship?

I find men who use this Scripture to get htier wives to "Obey," them want to control them.
