I've got to agree with Robert7 (and Edmond) on this. There are all sorts of changed positions and mistakes the WTS can explain away by invoking the "light gets brighter" principle. But the one thing that undermines the entire foundation of their claims of diving backing? That Jerusalem was NOT destroyed in 607, and that--even IF their explanation of the seven Gentile times was correct--it did NOT end when they claim it did in 1914. This topples the whole ridiculous house of cards. It DESTROYS their claims that Jesus sat down on His throne then, and after inspecting his "goods" chose the WTS as His F&DS. Think of all the elaborate explanations, such as that of Rutherford and the Society directors being throne into prison on "trumped-up" charges--in supposed fulfillment of Bible prophecy.
They seem to have no problem admitting to many, many mistakes...but not on this one! They hold onto the whole 607/1914 thing for dear life!
