Your past friends and associates in the truth - where are they now?

  It'd be interesting to see what's happened to friends, associates and Kingdom Hall Buddies since leaving the organisation.

  A friend - someone you have a personal friendship with

  An associate - someone you hang out with in groups but have no personal relationship with

  Kingdom Hall Buddy - someone you only see and talk to at the hall

  Here's my status report:

  Congregation # 1

  One friend - still kept in touch but didn't know that I left the org. Died a few years ago.

  Three Kingdom Hall Buddies - one appointed an elder a few years ago, the other is a ministerial servant. The last one has since left the truth. I met one buddy briefly for a coffee and chat but never heard from him since. He doesn't know I've left the truth.

  Congregation # 2

  One friend - moved out of state, still keeps in touch, doesn't know I've left.

  Two associates - one is irregular publisher but still goes to meetings. One has moved to another hall

  Two Kingdom Hall Buddies - both have left the org

  Heck, I don't know why I posted this in Scandals - perhaps one of the mods can move it?

  Honestly? I have no idea!

  I can only suspect.

  I do know of a few people I associated and hung out with. Of all the couples I hung out with on weekends, all but one (I believe) are divorces, of those divorced, only one I believe is still active.

  I actually met one of my old JW friends at Sesame Place, a few years ago. He and his wife were divorced, and DF'd, he was with his 4 year old son, by his girlfriend.

  An old friend of mine from the Bronx, was divorced and DF'd

  There are a few people I wonder about. A sister I wanted to marry. I understand she met a guy and moved to california with him after only six months knowing him.

  And an old friend of mine who I tried to enlightened, but decided to leave him in his ignorance, as the JW's were his life, without them he'd be lost. he eventually suroounded himself with hardcore JW's.

  my friends and associates are still involed in the org. however, almost all are very busy growing their businesses....improving their career....going back to school or sending their wives to college!....one just graduated...an elders wife and now has a great job in health care...good for them!......oh and building nice houses......oompa

  I sorta miss a few folks... dont have a clue were they ended up but I'd bet they aint in anymore.

  Tired of the Hypocrisy

  Some of the ones I used to ahng with I felt for sure would have been at this forum. So far I have only heard rumors that the kids I grew up with have left except one. In my grown up years I know of no one that has left but me.
