Yuck! What's up with all the clashing colours! I've been to many meetings with a hangover but if I had to go to that KH I really think I'd be quite ill!
My old hall was pink. Then I moved to a neighboring cong whose hall was also pink. Definately some closet homos in these parts!
Ha, I've never seen a PINK KH. Maroon maybe, but not pink. Not quite what you'd expect in a "church."
I know of one Kingdumb Hell that was sold off to become a dentists office. It was still in serviceable condition, given the crap air conditioning that is standard with Kingdumb Hells.
At least now the chairs are a bit less of a pain to sit in.
The inside of this kingdom hall is SOOOOOOO ugly. I've seen some halls that actually have very nice interiors. It really depends on the color scheme picked by the committee. The choice is limited but some are definitely nicer than others.
One hall had an interior decorator from one their congos choose their color scheme, fixtures, artwork and they actually listened to some of her recommendations and it shows because it was the best looking KH interior I have EVER seen. It was chic, contemporary and elegant but with just the right touch of JW drab. Even the mother's room looked like something from a hit decorating show. At the time I thought she should to work with the society on decorating the rest of the KHs.
it will make a perfect day care......going from a place that hurts kids to a place that kids can have fun and be themselves.
I kid you not about the day care.... our old hall had some of the same layouts... and was converted into a daycare.
Of course, our "honest" brothers did not tell perspective buyers about the old termite damage... I heard later that the owners were doing renovation, grabbed a 2x4, and pulled it out with not much force...it was mere dust from the old damage. The brothers claimed not to have known...yeah right...

They are selling this hall because they want to justify the existence of the local RBC committee.
None of the local brothers are actually supporting this.- Although the elders are acting like yes-men
The rest of the story is- this is the second hall being sold to build the one new one (the other hall was turned into a pagan church)
It is a good sign when 2 halls close and 1 opens.

How can they be happy when the hall looks depressing. Do they have a Prozac despensing machine.
I forgot one other fact.
The second hall that has already sold, has one congregation consolidated from two about ten years ago.
The Elders were overwhelmed with their responsibilities.
I guess this is Jehovah's blessing.
The price is $525K. I always thought it was the material from the stage that made me sick everytime I went to a meeting here. Maybe it was the color scheme after all.. :)
