Yo-Yo:
But there are also many gray areas that are handled by the Service department of the WT. They try to weigh those gray areas with Bible laws and principles.
May I ask why you need men in the WT Service Department for guidance in those “gray” areas?
You can reach a decision without them and their literature. I know the GB doesn’t think you are capable of this (poor stupid little weak sheep!).
God made each one of us personally responsible for establishing a close relationship with Him and living our lives according to his principles. Understanding the “how” was never meant to be that difficult or the vast majority of us would be out to lunch. When the answer is not clearly stated, you should be free and able to call on the Holy Spirit and your own bible-trained conscience for the answer. That is your God-given right and responsibility.
The role of religious leaders has become far too important in all religions. Spiritual leaders were not meant to have the powerful influence and authority that they wield upon us. They should be there to provide a service and advice to you IF you need them. They were never meant to dictate every square inch of your life. That is not spiritual freedom…that’s prison. You don’t need the WT Service Dept’s literature or the GB to tell you exactly what to do, be your interpreter, or run interference for you. JW’s accept “collective” instruction without question and without hesitation. That is why we call the organization a collective “Borg”. JW’s begin to sound like robotic parrots mimicking everything presented to them. That would be fine if the instructions were coming from God's organization but the WTS is NOT that organization. If it was, I'd say God was having a hard time making up his mind about some things. Don't think so! It is just a group of men with the same problems as every other religion. They commit the same sins (some worse, e.g., death from blood refusal, etc.) as “Christendom” but are totally oblivious to the harm that they do. What do you tell a Brother who lost his dear wife because of refusing to accept a bone marrow transplant (per Borg rules) only to have the organization “OK” the procedure several years later as “new light”. How do they sleep at night? The next time the Borg offers “new light”, think about those who may have been harmed because of the “old light”. Of course, the "old light" may become "new light" if you wait long enough!
Yo-Yo….Each GB member has their own relationship with God to worry about (big time). Don’t give them yours, too.

"Wicked men obey from fear; good men, from love".... Aristotle. You can love and obey Christ without intervention from an organization.
