I cut very thin slices of marsipan, and then I cut out little circles (2 sizes). The smallest circles (3 of them) I put together to create the bud of the flower, and then the larger circles (5 of those) I used to make the leaves. Just squeeze them together, it's really simple.
For the color I used food-paint (or however that is called in english ;) ) and just dipped the marsipan in it before cutting it.
