I just had a lovely 64 mile round trip to my office this evening.. I should have left sooner, but Survivor finale was on so I was distracted...left late..

Here in the midwest US, Sunday started windy this afternoon and almost 60F...still 53 at 7pm...dropped to 40 and raining when I left the house at 1045...on the way home it had switched to ice...... and when I got back home and hit refresh on weather dot com, it was 30 at 1225am (little after midnight) ...on the way to 19 overnight...

not as bad as the 0 and below north of us in ND.... or the ice storm out east.... or as bad as the ice storm here in 06/07....

any one else getting it bad tonight? Hope every one is safe...

All we got was a dusting of snow, followed by a miserable heat wave that melted it all. Of course, the boasting sessions all went on as usual.

Well... I'm further south in South Texas (not sure where you are), and the temps are being predicted to drop to the low 40's by this afternoon here (it's Monday morning now...).

I went outside for a bit, and it's already cold, wet and miserable.

Of course... the cold weather - here - will not last. By Thursday, we'll have temps up in the 70's again.

Roads were pretty bad coming in today. The problem is they didn't look as bad as they were. I watched a truck in front of me slide off the highway when he hit ice. If you take it slow and careful it's not too bad, though. Just be safe ;)

Bitter bitter cold here in Oklahoma City. Artic blast moved in late Sunday and it'll stick around for the rest of the week. Rumors of ice coming in soon.

I did go slow last night and made it home fine. People were stupid on I-70 and I-270.... tailgating me and going the speed limit or faster. You would have thought with those variable speed limit signs MODOT installed they could lower the speed limit to a safer 40 or 45. I am certain those fools would have ignored the signs anyway.

roads were not horrible coming home last night at 1am. It had started to drop something frozen. I havent stepped outside and looking at weather dot com, I probably wont today. 14 degrees with negative 2 windchill... no thanks. I put my car in the garage and put a plastic bag over the padlock so I dont have to chip ice to get into the garage.

Goody two shoes Snakes talking about illicit drugs? I dont think so ...unless its my idiot neighbors...

last week the druggie from across the street knocked on my door asking for a "sheet of foil" (to wrap his "bread" in)..... then asked for "matches or a lighter" (to light his "cigarette") in. He received the foil...but I was so naive or asleep that it didnt strike me what he really wanted foil for.... he did not get matches.

Snakes, we received a little of what your speaking of, being in So.Illinois. Roads are slick, left early for work, drove 40-45 MPH but made it.
