I'm guessing from the responses that we are only covering the Movies and Adam West TV series?

Joker hands down is the all time baddest villian and Batmans nemesis. There is no other villian that hates Batman more then Joker.

Michael Keaton was the best movie Batman. Val Kilmer the worst. Joel Shumaker ruined the franchise by thinking that things like "nipples" on the Batsuit were important.

Batman's III and IV were the worst with II being ok and Batman the best.

Keaton the WORST Batman!? You have got to be kidding.

He was the best by a mile.

Only Keaton managed to capture the manic, on the edge, side of Batman.
The whole point of Batman is that he is so scarred by the brutal deaths of his parents that he is just one step from crossing the line and joining the other side, "the bad guys".

I thought Val Kilmer was the worst Batman, simply because he looked wrong. He's blonde! But the film he was in, Batman Forever was still great because Jim Carrey as the Riddler and Tommy Lee Jones as Two Face were brilliant.

Those two and Jack Nicholson as the Joker are my favorite villians.

Batman the Movie has that brilliant Prince soundtrack too.

i agree completely. clooney looks most like the comic character, which is why people are drawn to him as batman i think, but keaton was far and away the best and only batman.

But the film he was in, Batman Forever was still great because Jim Carrey as the Riddler and Tommy Lee Jones as Two Face were brilliant.

now i have to strongly disagree with you here. although jim carrey and tommy lee jones were perfect for those roles, batman forever was a horrible piece of film imho. it just didnt have that same feel after burton left, and they tried to cram too much into the movies (especially batman and robin).....also, they lost the dark aura and went to a dick tracy type colorathon. eek.
