It's interesting that one of the only refs. that Blondie could find (or perhaps the only one she felt like posting - please advise!) is from 1952, over 55 years ago. Why would the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society not talk a lot more about the wonderful intricacies of the the Bible's clear and unambiguous information on the exact nature of Christ's reign from 1914?

To put it in simple terms, why don't they tell us what Christ has been doing exactly since 1914? (Other than hand over his 'earthly belongings' in 1919.)

If the part of Christ's reign we're living under right now isn't part of the 1000 years, then which Bible verses tell us what Christ is doing as ruler over the earth at this very moment?

Like many beliefs, it does not stand up to intelligent scrutiny. They say this :

    WT06 7/15 p7

"Counting 2,520 years from 607 B.C.E. brings us to 1914 C.E. That is the year when “the appointed times of the nations,” or seven times, ended. This means that Jesus Christ began to rule as King of God’s Kingdom in 1914.

    “Let Your Kingdom Come”

Since the Messianic Kingdom has already been established in heaven, should we continue to pray for it to come, as taught by Jesus in the model prayer? (Matthew 6:9, 10) Yes. That petition is proper and still full of meaning. God’s Kingdom will yet assert its full power toward this earth"

They would say that kingship can mean different things, and that he has reigned over his congregation since 33 ce...but the Millenium is still ahead.

    Go Figure??

No matter which way they juggle the ball, right to left, left to right, its all been contrived to place power into their own hands as who

represents Jesus's/God's kingdom here on earth, call it an intension of self serving opportunism.

Sorry, I did not want to mislead anyone about the quote regarding the 1,000 year reign and Satan's absence.

*** w03 1/15 p. 6 Has Evil Won? ***Only after Satan is hurled into the abyss of inactivity will the Thousand Year Reign of Jesus Christ begin.
*** w05 5/1 p. 19 par. 6 The Resurrection Hope—What Does It Mean for You? ***Christ’s reign of a thousand years begins with the binding of Satan and his abyssing. None of those resurrected nor any of the survivors of the great tribulation will be misled by Satan during that reign, for he will be inactive. (Revelation 20:1-3) A thousand years may appear to you to be a long time, but in fact, Jehovah views it "as one day."—2 Peter 3:8.

Thanks Blondie. Still doesn't answer the question as to what, exactly, he's been doing since 1914.

He's been reigning in the heavens, but, for the time being, not on the earth (1 John 5:19).

    Another question.

The "annointed" will rule as Kings for a thousand years, right?

Well if some started rulling after the first resurrction in 1918 and others after their resurrection in the 90 years since,

still others after the great tribulation, how can they all rule for a thousand years?

Because the 1,000 year reign starts off after the last one has received his heavenly resurrection.
