The new net site is working well, but I have noticed that when posting some typeface comes out looking like the fine print on the back of a credit card statement. Please enlarge the font size

This is 12.-- bold is even easier to read. Thanks

My default font as most others seems to be 11pt. I don't know why but your font in the first sentence is way smaller than the normal font I usually see in people's posts.

And instead of telling everyone to post using a larger font, why don't you just change the text size in your browser?

Testing. This is without any changes.

#3..or so it says, but it looks like a 4. Anyway, I can't figure why the quote thing comes out overlapping.

testing... ddddddddd this is default 10pt.... which is what I use.

I usually only bold for emphasis or bold for other posters screen names (quoting, etc)...

    and of course...my sign off...

This is in the default size.

It seems that Size 3 is the default. Now, you might be able to enlarge the size with your browser. If so, I suggest trying that before asking others to use larger type fonts--that will enable you to read the stuff that was posted before your request.

Another suggestion is a larger monitor. If you are consistently straining to see with a small screen, try the next size up. If you currently have a 13" monitor, try a 15" or 17". If you are using a 15", try a 17" or 19". If you are using a 17", try a 19 or 22. Note that a LCD monitor will use less energy than a CRT, making up the difference in energy use (plus possibly reducing your exposure to EMF radiation from the CRT).

I'm not all too sure that a larger monitor will help , I'm using a 21" LCD of high quality and I too find the default text a little harder to read on this site, remember when you increase your monitor size

so does your resolution, mine for example is set at 1600 x 1200. This is the default

and this is 10pt. .....on some of my posts I have enlarged the text to this size ( Bold )

One thing that I can say too is that on the home page of this site the text is not as legible than it was on the other site, I'm not sure if its smaller text or what but it does

appear this is a down grade to what the other site had.

I think I'll PM Simon on this and see if he can increase the size of the text at least on the home page.

Thanks all. I guess I was responding to some posts I had seen that were very tiny, like the example Homer shows above in 10 pt. A line or two is not so bad but a paragraph is very tedious to read.

This is Georgia 12, bold. Maybe a bit too much?

Yes, Homer. The light blue is difficult and the regular text seems washed out gray, not black and crisp

12 Pt. seems to be about right

This is 14 Pt. on my monitor it looks a bit big

Remember the higher the resolution of your monitor the smaller the text will be ( 14 Pt. text size )

Also the newer monitors in the 20" range and above operate in the 1600 X 1??? resolution. ( Default text size )
