This is one of the issues that bothered me when I was in. It made no sense to me, that only a
handful would make all the decisions, when they all were suppose to be equal.

The biggest failing of JW's is the sheer unaccountability of their leadership to the flock. The GB and Watchtower leadership are COMPLETELY unaccountable in practice to the flock. JW's are told to, and they accept, the idea that they should not question or challenge their leadership. Their awful kowtowing and unquestioning submission is JW's biggest failing. They have got a totally warped and unscriptural idea of what it means to be submissive to those taking the lead. They think it means to never question or challenge any of their teachings or policies at all. They allow themselves to be fooled by 'the faithful and discreet slave is Jehovah's unique channel through which all spiritual truths come' from nonsense, when it is nothing but a couple of dozen men at New York pulling all the strings.
It puts them in the cult category, without a doubt, but it is a cult around the the GB not one individual. But the GB is mostly perpetuating the cultish ideas and total control of one dead individual, Joseph Rutherford, who corrupted what C T Russell started.
Brainwashed, fearful cowards is what most JW's are, who deserve the religion and leadership they currently get.
It`s ok that only a few are actually on the board making decisisions in brooklyn, but what I never understood is why in congregations all round the world they had no voice in local congrgation matters, most of the time they were held less important than elders,ms,pioneers or any other idolized person in the congregation. And they are going to rule with christ in the kingdom ??? I don`t think so.!!!
