Congrats on the Glock, I am partial to the 21.

I got two AR receivers, stripped, as I noted in the top post. I have shopped for some uppers and lower parts kits, and everyone is tapped. I am picky, so I won't take the first one that comes around, I want chrome lined barrels, a4 style, government cut (not M4), 16" barrel. The first one I want to set it up with flip-up BUIS and an Trijicon ACOG sight. I might settle for an EoTech. I might build the second lower the same to give to my son when he gets bigger or do a bull barreled varminter, haven't made up my mind. .223 is expensive these days!

    Burns,

All the cops around here use the 21 or 22, I believe.

The ammo is more expensive and the recoil is significantly more than my 9mm. But, the .40 cal is definitely a better man-stopper. I've also fired the .45 ACP Glock 33, but Good-Night it kicks!

I'm also going to buy some of that new Hornady "Critical Defense" ammo for my Kel-Tec .380 'pocket gun'. It's a hollow-point round with some type of polymer on the tip, so that clothing doesn't prevent lead from spreading upon impact.

I hear the new Springfield XDs give a Glock the run for the money, and they are cheaper too. I was eyeing one in .45 the other day. There is a poster here that has one (Rooster) and loves it.
