  The current WT is advocating that elders and r&f dubs should reach out to the "inactive" ones, in hopes of bringing them back into their hell of self-imposed slavery. I've noticed a few posts by Confession and others who are receiving calls and letters from family members that have shunned them in the past.

  Perhaps this "compassionate" interlude is the start of an even harsher crackdown on apostates. After all, the WT may soon say they've given those who have "fallen away" every chance to return. Then they'll feel justified to enforce shunning to an even greater degree than they do now.

  Just speculation. But you may have a point, easyreader.

  I too would not be surprised if some sort of harder line was taken soon,they must be aware that many of us who leave take a few more with us within a short time,they might want to plug that hole in the ship A.S.A.P

  I don't worry about getting disfellowshipped (there is no one within the cancer that I am able to associate with that is worth it). About the only thing I want is to waste their time and energy trying uselessly to contact me (phone calls not answered, door bell not answered, letters shredded, emails reported as spam, etc.).

  However, something tells me that they might start doing even worse. They could physically drag me back to the Kingdumb Hell and make me stay with my "host", which would be worse than disfellowshipping. Or, they might start treating baptism as a contract and anyone that isn't doing everything that the hounders think they could be, they might start suing and prosecuting for "breach of contract".

  I have a feeling that there will be an ultra hard line stance taken soon against doubters/questioners etc, the fall out now is clearly huge, and dissenters will pollute the R&F, with not too much info available as to who are the ultra hardline members of the GB(after Jaraz dies) I expect this to start this year

  I think something will be done sooner or later about inactive ones who have slipped through the cracks. I know of several people who should be disfellowshipped but haven't been, because they drifted away before getting envolved in wrong conduct. It doesn't sit well with the R&F. The "double standard" term is often thought of when thinking of such ones. Something will have to be done to stop the fade and drift process. Personaly I wish the organization would just drop the silliness and just become more mainstream. I doubt that will ever happen tho. seek2find

  I have this itch that's telling me that, basically, if you present anything negative concerning the Truth, you are at risk of being hauled before an elder body and punished for this somehow (disfellowshipping, reproof?).

  I see others have posted similarly but this has always been the way. If you disagree, wait on Jehova and keep it to yourself.

  How would anyone know what you believed if you didn't express it?

  Jehovah knows. So dont even THINK about questioning us or your an apostate and Jehovah will kill you at Armageddon!

  I meant that you don't have to go "expressing" your apostate views to anyone. It's enough to be DFd if the elders ask you "do you believe in the FTS" or whatever, and if you say "no", then you're out. I guess in that sense you're "expressing" it, but you're not going around trying to convince others of anything.
