BTS--What he said at the article you linked to and what he is saying now don't seem to be different to me. Maybe you don't like the policy, I don't know, but liar??

    from your link:

Obama trotted out his standard policy stance, that he had a deep respect for the “traditions of gun ownership” but favored measures in big cities to keep guns out of the hands of “gang bangers and drug dealers’’ in big cities “who already have them and are shooting people...I see a couple of sportsmen back there. I’m not going to take away your guns.’’

whitehouse.gov, under the Urban Policy section:

Address Gun Violence in Cities: Obama and Biden would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent.

This is word play. On the one hand he says he will "respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners", but on the other he supports making the AWB permanent, which is an egregious violation of that right. He isn't fooling anyone.

It's good to know what you think about how the government treats the Constitution.

What legitimate use does a non-criminal have for an assault weapon?

I shoot guns for sport sometimes, and we have several in the house for protection, but I can't envision why I'd need an assault weapon?

I think Barack made clear that a nuanced gun policy is best. Folks not in urban areas handle free gun policies quite well. Having free gun policies in crowded urban areas is something else. Both concepts can coexist.

None of yours or Obama's biznax.

Still I can say that is one of the best done most aesthetically pleasing websites I've ever seen.

Remember that this will all be overseen by Obama’s “energy czar” Carol Browner , who was recently exposed as as being a member of Socialist International, a highly influential group headed by a Bilderberg Group luminary that calls for the implementation of global government.

Are you serious? The only way the government would be going against the constitution here is if they banned all weapons. Since the constitution does not speak as to what type of weapons are ok or not, it is up to interpretation.

Do you not think there should be limits on the type of "arms" that general citizens can possess? Grenades ok? C4? Rockets? Missiles? Nuclear? Obviously a line must be drawn somewhere.
