when it snows a lot here we get a lot of flooding on the motorways and the underground. So most people work from home if they can
Another thing is that because it snows rarely we don't have the same motorwayclearing facilites that countries that get a lot of snow have.

There was a lot of snow in the last 24 hours , we had about 2 feet here in South London, but as per usual the whole country came to a standstill,Airports;closed,Trains/Tubes/Buses/Roads, all disrupted,(especially the M25/M20/M2/M1 etc) schools closed, yet not a gritting truck or snow plough in site, (and they had plenty of notice)I bet our friends in Canada/Russia/Eastern Europe must be laughing their socks off
