I started the catechumenate in my church today, along with a former JW study of ours.

Shortly after I bumped into some Witness friends of mine I had known for many years. They asked me what KH I was going to since I moved. I told them the truth. It felt very great to be what I am. I've been out for close to 2 years. I have kept my life under wraps until now. I have some friends I associate with still, this is going to get around now and I may lose their company, which really hurts.

Burns, all our political disagreements aside, if someone doesn't want to be your friend anymore because you disagree with some old men in Brooklyn........they aren't worth your time in the first place. Yes, it does hurt. But if you have found faith again, maybe it'll make you feel better.
I do understand how hard it is to leave that crap behind.
