Someone owed me over $400 and promised to give me the money owed. I read in the paper he "suddenly" died.

Oh man.... well, I divorced my second husband who was an SOB beyond measure. I hardly asked for anything except $3000 to get started over again and for him to pay my car off. So...he came to where I was living, poured 5 lbs of sugar into the tank. Drained the oil and destroyed it. I had no "proof" he did it so no charges could be filed.
I had 32 pine trees in my yard here in Florida. We had a pine bore blight and all but three of them died (god I was and am...sad about those trees) So...we hired a guy who said he would saw down, cut into pieces, haul to the curb and grind the stumps on 6 trees for $950. My husband handed him $950 and a six pack and he and his assistant started working. Sundown is coming, he says he will return to grind the stumps when he can see clearer. We said yes, he left. Never came back. Like...ever. However I had gotten a picture of his truck ( I tend to document things) and had his number and business name. So after trying to call, making a new appt and being blown off, finding his name and his HOME address in the business directories and going TO his home...I finally had to file suit against him. Turns out he ripped off several people in the neighborhood but I "shared" my information with them too :)
And then theres the JWs telling me I was going to live forever and then telling me oops...yer gonna die like the rest of em.

Aside the Washtowel scam (and the Original Sin scam), I have fallen into a couple of MLM traps. Herbalife was fairly easy to cancel, but the others were not (they just keep charging $46 a month for some Goji juice that did nothing more than orange juice). I just had my debit card changed, so hopefully that will stop some of them (if I do not update my number, they will just cancel my membership in these programs that have basically not paid me a penny).

Being told to look for a marriage mate within the congregation who was "spiritual." Then marrying a Ministerial Servant and having my life ruined because, although he was "spiritual", he was a total a@@hole.

Ninja, well, my husband doesn't have your problem. I don't wear makeup. Ever. I'm just a natural beauty!

I was born into a cult and shunned when I left.
Absolutely no way to win.

from then on, I would not trust him to do any work in my house.
another worldly friend of mine said he ripped him off and did not finish the job he started
