What's The Worst Way You've Been "Ripped Off"? (page 3)

I just got ripped off this weekend.

My computer caught a virus, Antivirus2009.

I took it to the shop. They got rid of it but in the process they talked me into buying a virus scan, previously

I was using AVG free and it worked fine until I down loaded a virus by mistake.

The computer shop sold me CA Internet Security Suite. He talked me into that over Norton even got me to pay an extra 5$

for it. When I got it home I googled CA internet Security Suite and it has the lowest rattings of all the virus scanners.

I felt like he must have known he was selling me a dog but he wanted to move it.

The thing of it is, I have been buying computers from him and his company since 1996.

And of course having been a JW not getting an education and pioneering in my youth was the grand rip off.
