Yes, I learned a lot. Waking up night-shifters, getting doors slammed in my face, getting insults about my "beliefs." Yes, I learned very quickly that field service SUCKED.

I remember my best friend was a pioneer and we came back from a door. I don't remember the subject but I told my friend that I thought the householder had made a good point. My pioneer friend was aghast. He couldn't believe I had said such a traitorous thing. Remember, there is no room in Dubland for other people's opinions- only the Society's. He must have gotten over it though cuz he hasn't been to the meetings in years now. And we're still good buds.

I learned that you don't have to be a JW to love God and the Bible. That the 'signs of the last days' have been prevalent in other centuries than the 20th. That the 144,000 wasn't a literal number. These little lessons stuck with me and returned when I started to realise the WTS was a modern day religious mind-control cult!

yep....I learned who was on holiday and who wasn't at home.....which was pretty helpful in my secular job as a burglar.......
