Is this an original JW teaching? And of course we all love [add on word] dont we?....i can not fathom loving to design and create things....and then after my first project felt like i would just totally retire and NEVER create anything ever again?.......does this doctrine annoy anyone but me?..........oompa

NWT...(Colossians 1:14-17) . . .. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist,

Hey, that imaginary sky fairy's first project was ........ the UNIVERSE! I think I'd want to take a short breather before tackling something like that again.

Good point. The natural thing is to continue to create, create continuously.

The ancient mystics had a good imagination back in their day didn't they ?

particularly when they had God the almighty in their minds, they wrote their thoughts and ignorance

for us to evaluate...................was awfully nice of them

Yeah, but well, you know...a war broke out in heaven. So I imagine the good times creating had to be put on a back burner for a spell.

Then when Jesus left, he did say that he was going away to prepare a place for us and would later return for us. So I would imagine that the two of them and the rest of the heavenly host have been very busy creating our new home.

It should be near completion in the very near future. Or maybe it already is and Jesus is on the way back for us now.

Well OK if you take that stance why could he not be creating other galaxies and planets off somewhere in a far distant universe

that isn't visible by are human science ?

Why would a creator necesarily keep building universes? Isn't that kind of straight forward mechanistic thinking? It tends to limit a creative creator.

Personally, i think that the universe is much overrated. It's a piece of claptrap, seriously screwed up. Things are always blowing up. Things are always ripping outher things apart, not just in earth jungles, but also stars on stars and galaxies on galaxies. Then, theres black holes, Don't get me started. Imo, it was an accident.
