Not sure this is the BEST way - but when I needed to learn a little Spanish - I got one of those SPANISH in 10 MINUTES A DAY - it's a series - they come in French, German, and a host of others- not sure exactly which ones. Anyhow, the book comes with stickers that you put on all the items in your home - desk, lamp, chair, fridge, etc. - you get the drift, so you're seeing the words all day in your own home or car...then there's lessons that are pretty simple and straightforward. I can't remember if it also comes with a tape. But, true, in 10 minutes per day, you can pick up a lot! Just saying what worked for me better than anything else. It was just for a trip, so I've mostly forgotten everything since, but it was good when I needed it!

Rosetta Stone has an interesting approach. They will send you a free demo in the mail, on DVD. Plug it in to your computer and check it out. Looks pretty good. I have the Spanish (American Spanish) demo.

Hi oompa, hope all is well:
Have you tried watching TV in Spanish.
You can’t start with soap operas or ½ hour comedy programs. You can turn on the caption on your TV so you can follow the plot.
Good luck.

The thing is that; tienes que comenzar a practicarlo constantemente para que de esta manera tu cabeza comience a procesar la información. Eventualmente es como un interruptor automático. Puedes procesar los dos idiomas a la vez sin tener que pensar.
Suerte,
Ismael

Is there a DVD for WT speak,I find the longer I'm away the harder it gets to remember the lingo, and what it really means,i.e
"Love amongst yourselves" = Love the GB more, even rat on family members.
Jesus is the Saviour = Follow the FDS(GB)

Move to Peru for 12 months and tell your wife you're going there for the sake of the Kingdom.
Let me know how the muchachas are.

I've dabbled with spanish for years.
And unless you talk it regularly its hard to be fluent.
I used to watch spanish tv for an hour a night and listen to spanish radio in my car.
Then at work I would keep spanish instruction books.
But the best way to learn spanish is to move to Spain for about 10 years.
