    depends on how much room you have at your location, i had a friend who was looking for something to stack stuff on that would keep it off the ground............ well just so happened that the local walmart stacked their pallets behind the store and there never was anyone out there. so he rolled behind it and they had them nicely divided into two stacks......... one with the heavy duty polymer pallets and one with light plastic ones and the wood ones............... he went with the heavy polymer ones....... picked up a couple and took em home lol.

    i would say you might be able to score a couple of them, or you could spend some real money and go buy some of those concrete paveing stones they sell at walmart or home depot............ depending upon the look you want for your wood pile. me personally i like free and if your gonna cover it with a tarp anyway..............

    asilentone, we used to set up two parallel rows of cinder blocks, several feet apart, and then run pieces of rebar horizontally between them. Stacked the wood on that. We'd drive a couple of metal fence posts into the ground on the outside of the cinder blocks so that we could stack pretty high. Looks like this:

    I I
    I I
    I I
    I I
    I I
    I I
    I00-----------------------------------00I

    I=fence posts

    0=cinder blocks

    ----=rebar

    If you're going to stack it on pallets, make sure they're not wooden pallets, as the wooden pallets will also attract termites. And definitely don't put creosote on them, as you'll end up causing a chimney fire when you burn them and maybe burn your house down. And don't spray any pesticides on it, or you'll fill your home with fumes when you burn them.

    Seems like some of the people on this site are trying to kill you.....what have you done to them? LOL!
