So Watson, your answer would be that you think we "might be" causing change, but you're not certain?

    1. Is the global climate changing? - Yes.
    2. Are climate changes always harmful, or are some beneficial or a combination of benefits and detriments? I like the depends on your species answer.
    3. To what extent is human activity responsible for any percieved change? I would say human activity is responsible for 2%
    4. To what extent are natural phenomena responsible? I would say ....hmmm....98%
    5. Historically, what degree of accuracy have scientific climate models attained? - I don't think they have been real accurate, but they are probably improving.
    6. If Chicken Little were a scientist, whom would he work for? - He would work for the United States government...or the Illumanati....wait...maybe he would work for the freemasons.

I think we a minor part of the problem. For discussion purposes, I'll say we are responsible for 10%.

The things we do that cause this 10% also help us to dirty our own space, and could be detrimental to our health (yes, it hurts other species as well). So why not try to minimize it. Keep it as clean as we reasonably can. Work at it.

Making our space dirty (shitting in our back yard) is a valid yet separate issue.

Trying to go at the discussion from a selfish, and what some would say a "conservative" approach.

    1. Yes

    2. Rapid changes are always harmful to complex life adapted to a specific climate since it cannot change fast enough.

    3. most of it

    4. not much

    5. Kudra had some nice graphs on a topic a few weeks ago dealing with climate modeling, and how adding human activity to the models enabled them to closley replicate the current trend.

    6. Chicken Little stated that the sky was falling even though he had no empirical evidence. I think he'd be working for The Discovery Institute pushing Intelligent Design.

Thank god they slaughtered all those bison back in the 1800s. Just imagine the problems we'd have now with all that methane!!

I once thought man was responsible for warming up the planet. Then I found out that it was happening on Mars, and I don't think our CO 2 is reaching Mars.
