tend to put their lives on hold when they are with a new man. They tend to make this new guy their all. They leave their girlfriends in the dust and spend every waking minute with him and when HE IS WITH HIS FRIENDS they still sit at home and wait. **vomit**
I have seen the flip side of that, which is when a woman consumes more and more of a man's time and cuts him from his friends. Nevertheless, is still comes down to the most fulfilling use of ones time, be it friends or romantic pursuits. Whatever people say with their mouth, they vote with their feet.
I understand you want to get to know somone and thus spend time with them but surely you need some breathing space as well. AND DON'T FORGET YOUR FRIENDS.
You can look at it another way. They do not forget their friends. Their "friends" are not friends as you or I might see them, but are merely placeholders to fill up time until getting the next manfix.

I see this with much younger women, but not from those who have been through a few realtionships or a marriage.
Most of the girlfriends are called back in to complain about the latest love.....and most girls hop right to the job....no matter how long they have been neglected.
Best friends will always listen to your complaints, and then advise you, to keep your man, unless he is physically abusing you. Best friends will tell you, 2 minds are better than one, ask what did you love about him to begin with, and then, the bottom line:......did your best friend like him?
If she didn't, you are going to get negative advice, and if she did, ......she will send you straight back to the man you fell in love with.
Good Girlfriends, are like sisters....no matter what....they will be there for you
