I joined that group and my first post got deleted because I said something about brainwashing. I did get the messages about the troublemakers and also one that said this group is no longer open, invitation only now. LOL....that didn't take long! They will throw out the troublemakers and then it will be the same old thing.....JW's listening to other JW's spewing the same old drivel! Why am I not surprised?

The simple trouble with most letters, comments and so on directed to JWs by ex-JWs is this:
They are too long and convoluted - and most likely not even partially read by their intended audience: Jehovah's Witnesses.
In terms of sheer impact, nothing beats a clear and concise question, well-timed and well-spaced.

We may eventually get thrown out, but I've spent quite a bit of time having some very forceful discussions with some of the JWs there. I've already been asked "what else is there" once. By the time a JW asks that, they're already starting to think, IMO.

God, in retrospect this question seems patently ridiculous from so many angles, but back when I was in, it was such a powerful force. I couldn't get myself to leave until I found some alternate "truth" to replace JWism with. Now I know that this question was simply a way to keep myself from facing the hard reality, that there is no "truth" to grab a hold to. I was living in a fantasy world, and I couldn't bring myself to give it up.

update....too much heat for the mods....they have made some changes to the group (duh)........ they have decided to close the doors like elders and the GB................they are no longer an "open group" but are now a "secret group"!!!....(sacred secret?)......... which is invitation only
now this is funny.....the bulletin says "only administrators can invite new members........what is funny though is that the official description of the site is "The purpose of this forum is for Jehovah's Witnesses to meet other folks from around the world"!!!.......so we get to meet administrators friends from around the world??....pathetic....closed doors are prob a first step to closed down.............oompa
