I'm glad that you found us. It helps in the leaving process to read discussion boards such as this and find others who are in the same boat as we are. I can also sympathise with you on the passing away of your wife. My mother also died of cancer - my father was an elder too, and had to step down to look after her and us kids. Trouble is, he still thinks like an elder, even though he stepped down almost 30 years ago!
