I was flying @ 30,000 feet, and I was looking out the window and I starting thinking.

    Mt Everest = 29,035 Feet

    Genesis 7:19,20

So the water went up 29,035 feet to cover Mt Everest. (tallest mt. on earth)

It was raining for 40 days = to 960 Hours. 29,035 feet x 12 inches = 348,420 inches. 348,420 inches / 960 Hours = 362.9 inches of rain per hour. (Have you ever been in a storm with over 3 inches per hour let alone 362 inches?

That means that the water was right next to the height of the airplane that I was flying in. Next time you are on a plane just think about that, also look at the clouds below.

19 And the waters overwhelmed the earth so greatly that all the tall mountains that were under the whole heavens came to be covered. 20 Up to fifteen cubits the waters overwhelmed them and the mountains became covered.

Of course! I just finished posting on another thread that a pair each of the hundreds of parrot species must have been on the ark.

Depends on which verse you're reading. So much for that harmony in the Bible stuff...

    Gen 6:19-20

You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you. Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive.

    Gen 7:2-3

Take with you seven of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, and also seven of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth.

Which I *think* is understood to mean 7 pairs.

    Oh,

I'm sure there's a LOGICAL explanation, elder shmelder.

Thanks, mickey mouse, for that link.

I'm amazed at how many people praised this nutjob's endeavor of wasting wood and building a half scale copy of the ark.

You'd think that, at half scale, one would have to realize there's no way to house half of two of every kind of animal and food supplies on this thing. But some people are gullible...

I doubt he had more than 7 catepillars.

140,000 SPECIES OF CATERPILLARS ON BOARD?

    Micro or macro evolution?

How did the 63 species indigenous to Australia make a bee line to that island continent without leaving any offspring behind in Asia while en route from Turkey.

Well, of course the ark had a dingy. Those koalas and wallabees and kangaroos and those specific termites and caterpillars and other insects were really getting out of hand, so Noah had them placed in the dingy. The rest is history.

The dingy! Now why didn't I think of that!

All creatures indigenous to Australia were all packed on to the dingy!

Noah was a brilliant, brilliant man!

    Another question...

Do you think the koalas, wallabees, kangaroos, specific termites, caterpillars etc were all living in Australia before the flood when Noah, an/or his sons went over there to get them?

The floodbegan in November. All the caterpillars would be in chrysalis mode by then until after the waters subsided.

Never mind there would be no mulberry bushes to lay the eggs. God moves in mysterious ways His wonders to perform.
