I'm a bit confused. If you've been on many other ex-JW websites including the very old H20 the already know the answer to that question and really the question should be "why are YOU here? Haven't YOU moved on?????"

If we were all robots with no feelings or hadn't been cut off from people we still love deeply or didn't still have family members in that are still affected by the ridiculous teachings of the religion then maybe we could all move on but this is not the case so please, don't insult us.

People come here for many reasons, it's not just about hating the religion.

To me and many others, this site was a lifesaver. I thrashed out my feelings when I left and found kindred spirits. I was relieved to find out I was not alone with my trauma in finding out I'd been scammed and wasted my life to a certain extent. It helped me cope with losing many friends practically overnight that I cared deeply about and still do.

People have a right to take their time in moving on and dealing with their grief. If you have nothing to do but criticise and be ignorant then this is probably not the best place to pass some time. Go do something more useful elsewhere.

Well ever since I have been d'fed i have recieved a bs degree, 40 computer certs, and a jounery man Electrical License in 2 states, So i was thinking more along those lines since I am sure field service is out of the questions for you and others who hate being a jw.

You may want to consider a spelling cert or sum such.

Well bizzy thats a good question, for centurys people have died over religion, Some killed for power others for other reasons, but religion gives people HOPE, that there is something better then this wicked system, go to cnn.com and look at world events on how bad they are its worse now than it has ever been.

There better be a GOD out there, because mankind is going to selfdestruct, and we do need saving from ourselves.

Oh and by the way - my morals have improved beyond all recognition since I left the JW's.....

I now don't judge anyone based on their religion, sexuality, job, etc, etc and I do not shun my fellow man, unlike my relatives and old friends.

The JW's do not have the monopoly on true religion or morality and are in fact far removed from both. The friends I now have who have no religion treat me better than those that have one. The also don't steal, lie and cheat on their partners, ironic, don't you think? (so what if some of them have a few vices like smoking, drinking, bad language - I'd rather have a real friend who will stand by me no matter what than someone who pretends he/she doesn't have any vices and can turn off their friendship like a lightswitch!)

I always wondered what happened to those people in my science-for-non-sci-majors-101 classes that could not write, yet there they were, barely making passing grades in college, but would get out with a BS (or more likely a BA). They were entirely mediocre, but had to get a bachelor's degree so they could, like, middle-manage their dad's company.
