Do you think we tend to get guilty easily because of our past indoctrination in the Witness religion?

Definitely to an extent, but not so much now as when I first left. You can get over that part eventually. I do think alot of us tend to blame ourselves too much when things go wrong.
We were taught to feel guilt and fear. It kept us in line.

Guilt is a useless emotion.
I'm done with guilt. I spent too much time feeling it as a JW.
I'll still make bad decisions from time to time. I'll say the wrong things, do the wrong things and for those things I will regret that I did such but I won't beat myself up over it. What's done is done. No use feeling guilty about it. Do what you can to fix it and move on.

Yes, Thge guilt is still there but not as bad as it use to be. I know it will take time as I have only been out 18 months. Iam sure time will help in this as it does in all things.

Absolutely! We are trained that way. Why aren't we pioneering? What about the little legless pioneer who keeps going despite being blind in one eye and possessing a really bad lisp? Can't get to all the meetings? What about all those brothers and sisters swimming crocodile infested waters because they love the meetings so much? It was all about guilt. Well, guilt and fear. I am now trying to fight a lifetime of indoctrination.
