Baba Yaga,
One of his teachers is helping him with the website. It's Spring Break, and he has been away. There will be a place for donations....but they haven't set up a non profit... it takes months. What they have arranged is that people can donate gas cards or gift credit cards to go for the gas expense. Anything they don't use on the trip will go to the Coallition for the Homeless. They have just set up a post office box for the gas cards.. Ali will be getting that info to me shortly. I have to work at a Trade Show this afternoon and evening...so if I get it before I leave, I'll post it here...if not it will have to wait until tonight.
He has a heart of pure gold. I know there are a lot of skeptics...but he is for real.

I think I read somewhere he will be going through Jacksonville, FL. When you get a schedule, let us know, I have family in Jax and want to let them know.
You must just be beaming with pride.

This is just tremendous. The ministry I belong to provides the noon meals at the local Shelter Monday through Ffriday; I run the program. The Shelter manages the evening meals. Right now there are 6 kids staying here with their moms. I don't think any children or their moms should have to live in shelters. Awareness is a key to change. I applaud your grandson.
Coffee, that is just great!
My 19-year-old-still-JW daughter is an IB Graduate, and, indeed, it does prepare students to take on the world!
I know you are proud of him.
What a powerful testimony to his mom that she's done such a great job of rearing him!
I so agree with him: ONE PERSON CAN MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE!

Baba Yaga,
The donation information is now up on the website under the tab "how you can help" Good news, the Coalition for the Homeless has told my daughter that donations have gone up tremendously since the story appeared. David is now being approached for interviews from local and national media. He has also been asked to speak at schools.

Awesome! Unbelievable! And thanks for the donation update, Coffee!
Wow, you must be so proud of him. And scholarships too. I am having trouble getting my sophomore in college off her Wii!
Reading it gave me warm fuzzies. I'm so pleased for you and your community-and maybe the world-that your family is free of the WT influence.
It's really amazing what response they are getting. One company is offering him shoes for the walk. A pilot offered to fly him back from DC in case time is a problem to get him back to start school on time. A shelter for homeless boys contacted him..,.the homeless boys want to walk with him. Someone wants to supply a laptop with a wireless card for him so he can update daily. One news organization wants to film the enire walk. He's being interviewed on Monday on an Orlando Morning show. I can't see it...I'm in Boston... And there's so much more happening...
I'm overwhelmed by the whole thing.

There has been a lot of interest in donating to both his walk and to the Coalition. Numbers are not available as of yet. This will surely have a positive impact as the media continues to cover this. When I get more information about contributions, I'll post it here.
