Definitely the Thursday night lineup. That was always the best night for television. Also, Saturday morning cartoons.
What TV shows did you miss out on as a dub?

We always had book study on Monday night, so I would always miss the first half of Monday Night Football.

TV was highly censored when I was growing up unless I was at my Dad's for visitation.
So you can pretty much list all major programs from 1973-2007........
The only station really permitted was PBS and programs such as Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom and the Muppets.
We were not part of the world........
(I too censor TV regarding kiddos but I am not nearly as strict)

As a jw kid - ghost busters, the cartoon.
The annoying thing was we were allowed watch it until some elder's kid complained.
Then it was banned. -

I was not allowed to watch "The Flying Nun", "Bewitched" or "Dark Shadows". The last one was the one I really wanted to watch. And then of course Thursday night was "Welcome Back Kotter" and "Happy Days". I used to get a lot of headaches on Thursday nights.

R.F.
I missed out on "ER" because of the TMS and Service Meeting on Thursdays.

None really with the advent of the VCR, reruns, and DVDs and episodes on computer. The VCR was a great invention.

Man, it's been so long, and I don't remember what was on the nights I missed. I do remember one was Happy Days on Thursday night meetings.
Apparently from another poster, so was Welcome Back Kotter, but I seem to remember seeing a bunch of those for some reason. Maybe reruns.
For a while we had Friday night meetings and there was always some classic sci-fi or action movie on Friday nights on one of the UHF channels, Planet of the Apes, Tarzan movies, Journey to the Center of the Earth, etc.
And of course the ones that didn't conflict with meetings but we couldn't watch anyway like Bewitched, the Addams Family, and anything else to do with witchcraft - but oddly enough, I Dream of Jeanie was OK. Maybe dad liked the outfit...
