Just don't show up early.... but 'just on time' and leave immediately after the ceremony too.
If you can't do the get in and out thing.... just change the subject or point out the Memorial isn't really the appropriate time to discuss such matters.

No, because I don't want to add to their numbers-they are so eager to boast about attendance. Actually, even if I didn't care about this issue, I wouldn't go. Had enough.
I'll pop down to the pub for beer and crisps and socialise with the heathens.

BTW, this Memorial will mark the 30th year I've not attended. Hooray for me!
I don't want to go this year. I went last year; just to pacify my relative. I am an "opposer", but my relative doesn't know that. If he knew, he'd never speak to me again.
I just about died of boredom last year at the Memorial. What a dead, dried up "service". There is no life there; no spirit there. I assume that's how ALL the JW services are. I thank God I've never been a JW! I would honestly rather die than ever be involved in that group.
I hope & pray my relative wakes up someday.......
my least fave meeting for so many years....skipped the last one...my first miss ever.....but going this time for friends and family reasons.....but i hope that my gin and hydrocodone or such will get me through...........oompa

I'm really thinking that the Memorial 37 years ago was the last meeting I ever attended. I think I was still buying into that "eveyone goes to the Memorial" attitude that JWs believe.
It was always the most boring and dryest and dullest and most senseless of all the JW meetings. It was so somber and stupid.
So, no, I want be going to the Memorial. When is it, by the way? I don't think I've gotten an invitation in my door and I haven't seen any JWs walking around my neighborhood recently also.
I refuse to walk into that time waster.
Sure I'll go if you can tell me where the nearest K'dub hall is
