Nope, not this year. This will in fact, be the first year I've never attended. As mentioned above, if you're not going to partake, there's no point in even going.
I do, however, have plans for going to church for Easter.

For those of you who wish to know and be sure that you have missed it,ours is being held at 7.25 p.m (British Summer Time) on Thurs. 9th April.
If you really feel you have to go,could you all partake and really confuse the Dubs?

If I don't go it will be the first time in my life. My husband wants to go just to shut people up for another year and to appease family. We used to loathe people that only came to the memorial every year, do they really think that will save them? Now I see them from a different vantage point and maybe they just did it to shut their family up. My opinion is that it is extremely confusing to my children if we go. They are going to be fake love bombed that night and are too young to understand these tactics. What do you guys think?
I'll go and I hope they won't deny me the bread and wine. Last year after my disfellowshiping I went and took from the bread and wine. I think they got disturbed. But Jesus said: Take you all.
Some years ago we stayed with my family to clean the hall after the memorial and we tasted the bread and wine. It was a special joy!
no more kool aid:
Do not go for the sake of your children. Do not confuse them anymore than they probably already are. I am one of those children that was extremely confused by my parents. It causes anger and resentment and divisions in the family. Don't do it. Have a fun family night instead.
pretty sure i have already been to the last one i will ever attend...
so my answer to the above query has to be: hell to the no!!
Hi all,
Haven't been in for a while. Just wanted to find out when the memorial is. The locals have been in a frenzy.... so should have been able to guess it must be close.
BTW I wouldn't go even if it WERE true.!!
Heeeeeell no !!!!
The word memorial does not appear in the bible.
No. I rather think that this whole thing has been taken too far. It seems that organized religion is always straining out the gnat and gulping down camels. Jesus was a Jew, his apostles were Jews, he knew they'd keep abserving the passover so he said to keep doing this small thing every year when they had the passover. It was "remember me and my life and what this is all about brothers", and they did.
I'm not a Jew, I don't keep passover and so there's no reason for me to consider it as a group in a congregation. I will note the fact with some sobriety that night, but I'll do it alone.
I still don't see anything which suggests that somehow that eating a wafer and sipping some wine is supposed to mean that only anointed are to partake. Moreover I'm not sure what I believe about "anointed" or even 144k any more. I'm having to read the Bible all over again without WT theology (or anyone elses) in my head.
