Hopefully something more cheerful than representations of killing things and making blood sacrifices, and slinging blood on your door post.

LOL. Really, Cameo-d. Why so sinister? You must be forgetting that Judaism is not a Bible based religion.

Pesach is a festival of freedom, an occasion for praise and thanksgiving and for re-dedication to the idea of liberation.

If you want to think about slaughter and blood, go for it. It really wouldn't surprise most of us

Many synagogues are offering Seder suppers on the 9th. You may want to call around and see if there are any openings left. Usually the deadline to register is at the end of March but they do receive cancellations and are looking to fill the empty seats.

The last I heard they were charging $125. to attend the "Passover Dinner" and they even had Easter eggs on the plate.

Don't sweat a lack of reservation openings. They will add an extra late fee for you and put more eggs on the plate.

At least JWs don't have to PAY to go to Memorial.

And who was that you heard it from? It would be very interesting to find out.

I paid $35 for my catered dinner. I enrolled today and did not pay a late fee. You need to change your source of information. you also need rethink before spreading vicious hearsay.

And you dont get a catered meal and entertainment at the KH. You get gloom and doom. And very bad music.

Anybody can give away misery for free. Help yourself.

Me too. It should be much more interesting than anything we ever got for free at the KH.

Congratulations on your baptism! May I ask who your patron saint is? If you would rather not share, I understand.

Robdar: And you dont get a catered meal and entertainment at the KH.

My point in mentioning this is because it is not considered OPTIONAL.

If you are a good Jew...you WILL be there.

And you will COUGH UP whatever it costs for each member of your family to be there.

Just like WT functions, it is an unspoken OBLIGATION.

If you don't go, you will be SHAMED.

It's also a MONEY MAKER for the synagogue.

Nevermind that it may cause financial burdens for some people.

There is a great stigma if you don't attend and pay up.

It is sad to see that some people never learn any lessons from their mistakes.

Some people still cannot understand the tactics of manipulatation and deception.

Some still do not see that they are being herded.

You haven't a clue what you are talking about. Not a clue. Most Jews I know are celebrating at home. Some are going to a Seder dinner at the temple or at a relative's house. You do not have to attend and you will not be ostracized if you do not.

Guess what? It is FUN being Jewish. You could learn a thing or two if you would open your mind and shut your mouth about things you do not understand.

You really ought to check it out before you get on a high horse. Really, you haven't a clue.

I hope you have a happy passover.
