Snowbird,
The events you described are typical of what most Churches teach but they will not fit into the time-line that the scriptures provided for several reasons. For one thing, two afternoons are being described during this week long Passover observance, the one where Barrabas was being voted on for release, and the one when the sun was darkened for three hours. Then there is the problem with our Lord being before Pilate in the afternoon and His being nailed up on the third hour or the third hour of the night since time does not go backwards. And there were other events that took much more time then what is being allowed for. Days were involved, not just hours. I did several work-ups on this and a simple discussion is provided at: http://home.earthlink.net/~jmalik/ch9notes.txt A more detailed breakdown is available in Beyond Watchtower Doctrine which downloads with my book. As disciples one would think that everyone would be aware of such events.

Thank you Sylvia.
I have waited for many years for this.

Joseph, I've long been aware of such events, but Mr. Blank does such a beautiful and non-dogmatic job of timelining those events.
Perhaps he and I have missed something?

I am sure that he did a beautiful job as far as appearances go. But the WT has fooled millions with the beautiful job they do with their lies. They even talked their followers into not partaking and threatened any that disobeyed them. Never mind that this is a basic teaching of Jesus Christ. The material he provided does not fit scripture. The Passover Lamb was NEVER eaten on the 14, just killed and prepared for the Sabbath meal that took place in the evening of that day but after the date changed to the 15th. This is Passover 101 for Jews and supported by scripture. His explanations make no sense to me but then I had studied it and detailed it so anyone can understand. Anyone interested can see this for themselves.

Joseph, I've read your notes, and I'm sure you put a lot of hard work into them.
Mr. Blank seems to have done the same, yet reached a different conclusion.
I choose to agree with Mr. Blank.
Sylvia
Sylvia,
No problem. At least the matter has been discussed and alternate views provided for anyone else interested.
Joseph
Thank you, sir.
May you have peace.

I've never read Mr. Blank --Can he explain Numbers 33:3?
