I have not and will not join another religious organization since leaving the JW's. I left one (Catholic) to become a JW. I am done.
Welcome to the Board jonathanadabe

We attend a local independent, non-denominational church.

Considered Buddhism and Wicca for a while but found I was best suited for plain old atheism.
Left the JWs in 1984 of my own volition. For a couple of years I didn't attend any religious services. Beginning in 1987 I attended a variety of religious services, Independent Bible Students, New Age, Unitarian, Conservative and Reform Synagogues, Roman Catholic, and Unity before being received and confirmed into the Episcopal (Anglican) Church in 1991.
No. I have no time for religious corporations. Why believe one man that says he is right over another man that says he is right? No one knows, no one can prove truth, so I have divorced religion from spirituality.
Nope, I am still attending.
My hubby is currently Southern Baptist, however he mentioned attending the Church of Christ over the summer since his Dad is comming.
Generally though if I could find a Trinitarian church that didn't begrudge my non-Trinity belief I would be happy.
If we had Bible Students locally I would probably stop by and check them out. (Heck I am betting a good part of my Hall would defect too).
I miss sincere field service.
Nope, no way. I am done with all religion. Perhaps I will change as I age, but right now all religion now makes me queasy.

started attending churches about 2 years ago...Baptist,Methodist,non denom, ended up comingt back to Baptist. It just suited me best. The author C S Lewis was raised a christian, became atheist and was called by spirit. I truly believe your on your journey and He will call you when your he's ready. You just have to be listening. good luck
Thanks for your welcome, purplesofa. It's an interesting web-site and I hope to comment as the occasion arises. It's interesting to note the many different roads that ex JW's take on leaving.
