I don't have a webcam. My important stuff is on a computer that's unplugged from my local network. I have a good hardware firewall. If someone still managed to see me they wouldn't look for long. I'm a 51 year old fat guy who wears a bathrobe that's shredded by Rocco's beak. Not a pretty sight.

On a laptop it is always just above the screen facing you. It looks like a little black circle with a clear glass or plastic cover. (It is very obvious when you see it).

I'm not messing with you about all of that stuff. 100% true. More people need to know what is happening with such technologies so they can make informed decisions about how they handle their privacy.
