I too, would like to know more about this 'compound' in Mexico.

"Back when I was in, they were teaching that we'd inhabit the vacant homes."

Yeah... JWs tend to idealize things a lot. They often forget small details like...

    1) Who would operate the systems that handle the waste material that gets flushed?

1a) Who handles pumping the water to the homes that is used to flush the waste material?

    2) Who handles the electricity being generated?

    3) Who picks up the garbage that gets generated by each household, and hauls it away? Not to mention... where do they put it?

Currently, these things are handled by 'worldlies' who spent a lot of time getting an education - and going to college - and have degrees.

Oh. And before you say that no electricity is needed - and that they can use kerosene lamps -

    a) Where does the kerosene come from? - even if it is just 'vegetable oil' -

    b) Who mans the fire department that puts out the house fires that result from people knocking over the lamps?

I could do this all day...

    Regards,

    Jim TX

How about an address? GPS coordinates? I'd love to Google map it and zoom in from outer space!

I'll try to get more info. I don't really speak to my SIL. I tried googling but can't come up with anything.

It sure looks like a nice place. But I agree, there is no one to talk to, unless one likes to talk to flowers.

I don't think my SIL would have qualified to be there...looks like a Bethel in Mexico. When I get more info I will certainly post it~

OK, I think I have enough info for you from my Mother-in-law....

Its located in San Maguel, and this last half you will have to figure out because I don't know how to spell it:

Dio or Via Ellando or Ellandi.

Its an extremely small village and most of them are JW's.....very, very scarey!!!!!
