When the lunatic fringe no longer has their favorite in power they more publicly display their hysterical side. Like a little kid who no longer gets his way they throw a tantrum and stamp their feet and make a spectacle of themselves.

We call it "hidden racism" - President Obama could fix all our economic problems, find a cure for AIDS, and end world hunger and there are those who would still send hate mail about him. Some people can't value others for what they bring to the table as long as their skin isn't Anglo white.

I'm not a fan of Mr. Obama but, as a professed Christian, it is my duty to pray for him to be guided by Holy Spirit and to have a conversion of heart so that he will do what is best for our nation and the world.

That being said, I'm also not going to sit back and ignore the things he is doing that I believe are detrimental to our nation and the world. That also is my duty.

I don't know how things are in Canada but here we do discuss (to death) every little thing our president does. Heck, there are people who are upset because they don't feel his dog is really a rescued dog! I certainly hope you aren't actually receiving hate mail about Obama because that is going over the line, whereas honest disagreement on policies and ideologies is not.

Politics is as hateful as religion. Best not discuss it.

Of course i don't apply it in my own life, love to argue about both.

Grace, there are those who like me, feel that President Obama supports a philosophy and agenda that is the antithesis of what the founders of the United Sates of America intended. This is all about philosophy and not about ehtnicity, other than the claim of ehtnic hatred provides a voluminous skirt for anti-Americans of various stripes to hide behind. Like Rush Limbaugh, I hope that Obama fails in his attempt to destroy America. May he fail in a big, BIG way. I enjoy and applaud each little "failure" along the way. Obama has failed to come through on many of his campaign promises, and that is GOOD for America.

Well explain to me how that is GOOd for America,I find ( excuse me for expressing my thoughts)

that Americans are against blacks. I watched them be hosed, kicked beaten
when I was younger ( much younger)
I feel Martin Luther Kings prayers have been answered...

I dont want to start a argument, but I am truly confused, I have liistened to him,( & love his wife)
who in MY humble opinion) is truly an asset for the U,S.A

Sorry to offend you folks who feel Canadians shouldnt get involved in your affairs

Yes, Mouthy, I know that there is still a great deal of racial prejudice in this nation, not just against AfAms but against Latinos, Asians, Indians, what have you.

But my problems with Obama's policies have nothing to do with race. I'm even more opposed to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, who is white. My biggest problem with Obama, which I've discussed in another thread, is that he is uber pro-abortion and has already done many things since being in office that have undermined the protection of unborn children. I would have a problem with any president who is pro-abortion, black, white, or green.

It's not an issue of race. It's an issue of completely different and incompatible world views.

This shouldn't have anything to do with race. It's about the economy.

Obama came into this administration with the country deep in an ocean of debt. His solution is to make the ocean bigger. Spend...spend...spend.

    Tax...tax...tax.

BTW, Mouthy, you don't offend me. You are right on our border and what happens in this country often affects your country, too, so you have a right to be concerned.

And I think it is wonderful that we finally have an AfAm president. But I would rather it had been Clarence Thomas or another AfAm who has similar values to mine than Barack Obama.

For 98% of us, our unhappiness with Obama's policies have nothing to do with race. It's purely an issue of differing ideologies.
