Interesting evolution of a thread.....

Op makes a rather sensational experience statement....

Initial reader response is joy that such a thing could happen and enjoying the gleeful thought that more should turn away from Jw's. no thoughts of empathy for the family or congregation.

Voices of reason cast doubt on original statement and the op who seems to have previous history of un-factual statements.

Speculation on other stories abound in hope but further research does not give any confirmation yet.

Now the blame is put on Jws for starting the story even though the op did, the thought is these sort of exageration are from 'dubs'.

Finally a few statments of doubt or gleeful hope of Jw's downfalling this way.

You have found nothing to replace the Jw religion so you cling to your hatred and the destruction of Jws as some goal to feed on instead. It is not a road I want to walk, it has nothing to recommend it to someone that wants follow Jesus and imitate his faith in God, he was/is always someone that walked away from the fruitless paths.

That isn't a requirement for happiness. And speaking for myself, I don't hate any of the friends at all. I just posted a blog recently on freeminds about how Jehovah's Witnesses are not all bad. I know that some of the tone here gets heated. But there is an underlying reason that you fail to acknowledge.

It isn't my goal to destroy JW's. Just to expose the lies and harmful teachings, thats all. If it causes reform, great! If it causes their fall, I guess we will know that god wasn't with them, isn't that so?

Speaking of fruitless paths, here's one, devoting your whole life to a cult, which discourages education and savings so that you will have time to knock on doors all day while the inhabitants are at work. Their are many fruitless paths. To discuss and expose the legitimate problems facing Jehovah's Witnesses is not a fruitless path. Jesus would have done the same thing were he here today, and I doubt that the GB would listen.....

And as far as compassion? I have compassion for the people here on this board, with broken lives, being shunned for a decision made in their early teens to join a cult, before they reached the age of majority. Now they have to pay for that the rest of their lives?

These people need compassion. So do the friends, who are often oppressed, given much work to do while the GB will not lift a finger to help or support them....

In 1983 on the East Rand (nort of Johannesburg, there were about 30 JW teens publicly reproved, two sisters DF, in the same week. It was over three congregations in the same area, and it was all about smoking, sex, heavy petting, drinking etc over a period of years that was covered up amongst the youngsters. It all came out in JC's that lasted weeks.

I was one of them. It was a huge scandal. Even today, those in the cong still remember it. But that happened once in our area. Now when a married couple gets DF, the tongues wag like crazy. When the special needs talk the following week is done, all know WHY they were DF and the story gets wings.

I say that things in GB's stories could happen, but not in one congregation. The rest of us would have had confirmation of so many events in one place..

Reniaa, you are just looking for trouble with your accusations that we hate JW's. Some of us are angry. And this is where we vent. Most of us love and care deeply for our friends and family that are still JW. We cannot tell them because THEY have stopped communication. Its the WTBTS that is creating all this pain with their lies and control. Your sympathy is not needed either.
